Under Einstellungen, Zeiterfassung (Settings, Time tracking) you decide whether the location is recorded when clocking in and out.
Two switches, double protection
- Owner: turns on location tracking for the business. If this switch is off, no location is ever recorded.
- Employee: additionally approves location tracking personally. Without this individual consent, your own location stays unrecorded even if the business uses the feature.
Only when both apply does a check-in save the location; the entries in the time overview then show a map link.
What this is good for
On scattered job sites, the location proves that hours were logged where the work actually happened, handy for time-and-materials work and for evidence towards customers.
Good to know
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time; future entries then stay without a location.
- Employees who have not given consent see a corresponding notice; clocking in and out works completely normally.
